LeafCutters Starter Box

 The LeafCutters Starter Box is specially designed to safely and successfully start up a fledgling colony of leafcutter ants. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, this starter set offers optimal conditions for the ants.

 The colony is located on the left side, while the right side serves as the outside world. In this space, you can easily offer water and fresh leaves. The leafcutter beetles can move effortlessly between both compartments through a 20 mm passage.

 Would you like to expand the colony in the future? That is easily possible. The right-hand space is equipped with a 32 mm acrylic tube, allowing you to easily connect the system to larger expansions as the colony grows.

 The starter kit comes with an escape-preventive agent and a small brush. For optimal use, we recommend coating the top edges of the enclosure with the escape-preventive agent before placing the colony. Also treat the edge of the outside area so that you can safely and easily add leaves at any time without the risk of escape.
